The Push-Up Challenge
Friday 22 May 2020Well done to Kath Carroll and those members from across the state participating in The Push-Up Challenge 2020.
The Push-Up Challenge brings people together, strengthens personal fitness, relationships at home and at work, and importantly raises awareness of suicide and other mental health issues.
Over the course of 21 days, participants complete a target number of push-ups linked to a specific statistic related to mental health in Australia.
By the end of the period, teams will complete a total of 3,046 push-ups, which represents the number of lives lost in Australia to suicide in 2018.
While not an official part of the Stand T.A.L.R program, this challenge also promotes positive mental health.
We encourage Prison Officers to take part in this challenge or support Kath and her team by donating here: https://www.thepushupchallenge.com.au/pushuperer/59071
Funds raised will go to headspace.
