Hakea TOIL Issue

A long-running dispute at Hakea, in relation to 12-hour shift officers not getting their second meal break, is getting closer to being resolved.  

TOIL approvals are now being processed and officers should be able to make arrangements with their local HR to acquit that TOIL.  

Unfortunately, WAPOU has been made aware that a number of members who have recently transferred from Hakea to other prisons, are being denied the opportunity to acquit that TOIL at their new prisons.  

Please email paulledingham@wapou.asn.au if you are one of those impacted officers. Include in the email your transfer date, your TOIL balance and any evidence that you have been denied the opportunity to acquit that TOIL at your new prison.
